چکیده

Základné vlastnosti sadrovca pre odsírenie spalín Several hundred thousand of FGD gypsum is produced annually at the Matra Power Plant (Hungary) as a byproduct of generating electricity and protecting the environment. Chemical and mechanical characteristics of this material were studied of the Department of Mining and Geotechnical Engineering, University of Miskolc (Hungary). The material in question was found dead gypsum which can be calcined easily to obtain a relatively high-strength (15-25 MPa) and clean binding material. Furthermore, grain composites were made of it by adding fly ash, which the power plant can provide the expected producers with, thus decreasing the energy consumption of calcining and utilizing a small part of coal combustion wastes.

Effect of Desulfurization Ash with Different Gypsum Content on Rheology Characteristic, Hydration Structure and Rebar Protection of Cement Based Materials

Depending on the desulfurization reaction temperature, it can be divided into fly ash generated at hightemperature furnace zone and at low-temperature flue gas zone. For simulating those two kinds of desulfurization ash, the ordinary fly ash mixed with different weight percentage of CaSO4·2H2O is divided into 2 groups, the first group is followed by calcining at 900°C, another drying at 100°C. ...

Fate of mercury in flue gas desulfurization gypsum determined by Temperature Programmed Decomposition and Sequential Chemical Extraction.

A considerable amount of Hg is retained in flue gas desulfurization (FGD) gypsum from Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization (WFGD) systems. For this reason, it is important to determine the species of Hg in FGD gypsum not only to understand the mechanism of Hg removal by WFGD systems but also to determine the final fate of Hg when FGD gypsum is disposed. In this study, Temperature Programmed Decompositi...

Investigation of Utilization Possibility of Fluid Gas Desulfurization Waste for Industrial Waste Water Treatment

Flue gas desulfurization gypsum (FGD) is a waste material arouse from coal power plants. Hydroxyapatite (HAP) is a biomaterial with porous structure. In this study, FGD gypsum which retrieved from coal power plant in Turkey was characterized and HAP particles which can be used as an adsorbent in wastewater treatment application were synthesized from the FGD gypsum. The raw materials are charact...

Removal of polychlorinated naphthalenes by desulfurization and emissions of polychlorinated naphthalenes from sintering plant

The sintering flue gas samples were collected at the inlets and outlets of the desulfurization systems to evaluate the influence of the systems on PCNs emission concentrations, profiles, and emission factors. The PCNs concentrations at the inlets and outlets were 27888-153672 pg m(-3) and 11988-42245 pg m(-3),respectively. Desulfurization systems showed excellent removal for PCNs, and the remov...

Mercury speciation in gypsums produced from flue gas desulfurization by temperature programmed decomposition

Temperature programmed decomposition was used to identify mercury (Hg) species in gypsum samples produced from flue gas desulfurization in two Spanish power stations (A and B). As stricter emission control/reduction policies, particularly those focusing on Hg, are being implemented, wet flue gas desulfurization (FGD) technologies used for the removal of SO2 can result in the co-removal of highl...
